10 birds that reveal dinosaurs are still with us through their prehistoric traits, appearance, and behaviour
Birds are the closest living relatives of dinosaurs, not crocodiles. Modern birds evolved from theropod dinosaurs. They retain skeletal, behavioral, and vocal traits of their ancient ancestors. Ten birds, including the Southern Cassowary, Shoebill Stork, Kiwi, Ostrich, South Island Takahē, Turkey, Chicken, Hornbill, Great Blue Heron, and Emu, strongly resemble dinosaurs.
