1,300-year-old bread found bearing Jesus’ face and secret message

Archaeologists in Turkey unearthed five 1,300-year-old Byzantine loaves, one inscribed with “With our gratitude to the Blessed Jesus” and an image of Christ as a Sower. Carbonized for preservation, these breads offer a tangible link to early Christian Anatolian faith and rituals, with others bearing cross impressions possibly used in Eucharist.
