In a shocking revelation, a 60-year-old man has been sentenced to six months of imprisonment by a Silchar court for practicing law under a falsified degree. Altaf Hussain Barbhuiya, who was arrested 17 years ago for submitting a counterfeit certificate to the Advocates’ Bar Association, will also pay a fine of Rs 10,000.
