2+ years since violence gripped state, PM Modi to visit Manipur today

Prime Minister Modi is embarking on a two-day tour of Northeast states, including Mizoram, Manipur and Assam, initiating development projects worth Rs 36,000 crore. In Manipur, his visit aims to address the ethnic conflict’s aftermath with a Rs 7,300 crore package and interactions with displaced people, amidst tight security and a shutdown call by Meitei outfits.
