In Mainpuri, a local court delivered life sentences to Manoj Kumar, Uttam Kumar, and Indresh Kumar for the 2015 murder of Mahesh Kumar during a panchayat election campaign. Mahesh was shot and killed while campaigning for a village pradhan candidate.
