30 elephants stuck in Baitarani river island

A herd of 30 elephants became stranded on a river island in Keonjhar district after attempting to cross NH-49. Trapped by local protests and strong currents, the elephants have been without food for over 10 hours. Forest officials are providing sustenance and working towards their safe passage to Mayurbhanj district.
