A rape convict, Bijoy Hajong, has been sentenced to seven years in jail and fined Rs 1 lakh by a local court in Shillong for a 2009 case. In a separate ruling, Marvinson Jyrwa and Skhemkupar Massar received six years of rigorous imprisonment for drug-related offenses.
