Semiconductor unit of SiCSem to be operational by 2027-28

Odisha is set to become a semiconductor hub with SiCSem’s Rs 2,067 crore fabrication and ATMP facility operational by 2027-28. This facility will boost India’s supply chain for critical sectors like EVs and renewable energy, creating thousands of jobs. The state is also strengthening its semiconductor research ecosystem with initiatives at IIT Bhubaneswar.
