Cadre unease brews in BMC over vacant deputy commissioner post

Senior BMC civic officers have united to oppose retired officer Chandrashekar Chore’s continued tenure as Deputy Municipal Commissioner (DMC). They claim his appointment as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) is blocking promotions and creating injustice for eligible officers. The officers are urging the BMC to fill the vacant DMC post with an in-service official.
