Centre invested Rs 21,000 crore in Northeast’s education sector in 11 years: Sitharaman

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a significant Rs 21,000 crore investment in the Northeast’s education sector over 11 years. She laid the foundation for Assam’s first technical and vocational university, ‘Swahid Kanaklata Barua State University,’ costing Rs 415 crore. The region also saw connectivity improvements, with new airports and railway access.
