Bettiah ASI suspended for misconduct

An assistant sub-inspector in Bettiah was suspended after allegedly misbehaving with villagers in an intoxicated condition during a domestic dispute investigation. Locals claim the ASI was drunk, leading to an altercation and his subsequent assault by the mob. He was held captive before being rescued by the SHO.
