Intel wants former engineer to pay $250,000 in damages for stealing data labelled ‘Intel Top Secret’

Intel is suing former software engineer Jinfeng Luo for $250,000, accusing him of stealing tens of thousands of confidential files, including “Intel Top Secret” material, before his termination. Luo allegedly copied sensitive data to a NAS device in the weeks leading up to his July 7, 2024, exit. Intel has been unable to contact him since his departure.
