Compromising cases by sharing comunidade land illegal, says SC

The Supreme Court has struck down the practice of comunidades settling land disputes with tenants through land sharing, deeming it a violation of the Tenancy Act and Land Use Act. This decision came as the court dismissed an appeal by the comunidade of Tivim, which sought to implement a 60:40 land division compromise with agricultural tenants.
