Cholera behind deaths of 6 villagers in Lawngtlai, confirms laboratory test

Tragedy strikes in Mizoram as cholera has been identified as the culprit behind six fatalities in Lawngtlai district. Laboratory tests from ZMC&H have confirmed the presence of the Vibrio cholerae bacterium. The water-borne disease has also taken a toll in nearby Siaha district, leading to three additional fatalities, summing up the grim total to nine.
