Chennai Gig Workers Lounge: No Access For Wheelchair Users

Chennai’s Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has launched lounges for gig workers, equipped with amenities like air conditioning and power outlets. However, these spaces in Anna Nagar and T Nagar are inaccessible to people with disabilities. Activists highlight the violation of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, which mandates accessibility in public spaces.
