TB vaccine’s tech transferred to private firm

A promising tuberculosis vaccine candidate, developed by ILS Bhubaneswar and IIT Bhubaneswar, has been transferred to TechInvention Lifecare Limited for clinical trials and commercialization. This new vaccine aims to protect adolescents and adults, offering enhanced efficacy beyond the current BCG vaccine. Pre-clinical studies showed significant effectiveness in reducing bacterial load and boosting lung immunity.
