In a tense border clash, a 27-year-old man was shot by BSF troops near the India-Bangladesh frontier in North Tripura while reportedly attempting to smuggle contraband. Akash Das suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen but is currently stable and has been referred for more extensive medical care.
