Ethiopia’s Hayli Gubbi volcano’s ash plume, erupting after 12,000 years, is heading towards northwest India, including Rajasthan, Delhi-NCR, and Punjab, by Monday night. Airlines are cancelling flights and rerouting planes as a precaution. While the ash is expected to primarily affect aviation at high altitudes, hazy skies are also anticipated.
