China may have blocked Nvidia’s biggest customer in the country from using its chips

Chinese regulators have reportedly banned TikTok-owner ByteDance from using Nvidia chips in new data centers, a move aimed at reducing reliance on US technology. This follows earlier directives for local firms to cease ordering Nvidia AI chips and adopt domestic processors. Nvidia acknowledges the regulatory landscape prevents offering competitive data center GPUs in China.
