Jasmine subsidy scam: Karnataka woman duped of Rs 70 lakh on promise of govt aid for cultivation; case registered

A woman in Vittal Kasaba was allegedly defrauded of Rs 70 lakh by a known acquaintance who promised substantial government subsidies and loans for jasmine cultivation. The accused convinced the complainant to make multiple payments, assuring her a share of the subsidy and loan benefits. Police have registered a case based on the complaint.
