Village headman among 9 booked for ‘ostracisation’

Nine individuals, including a village head, have been booked in Ganjam district for allegedly ostracising and humiliating the family of an additional tehsildar following his inter-caste marriage. The complaint was lodged after the family was reportedly prevented from participating in a community wedding feast. Police are mediating to resolve the matter amicably.
