Chennai and surrounding districts experienced heavy rainfall for the third consecutive day on Wednesday, despite forecasts indicating the worst has passed. While a depression weakened and made landfall, cloud convergence over the region led to intense showers, particularly in Tiruvallur and North Chennai. Mild showers are expected Thursday, with clearer skies anticipated from Friday.
