Dhubri youth arrested for extortion; drugs, firearm seized

In a decisive move for public safety, officials in Dhubri district apprehended local youth Rafiqul Islam on Saturday, seizing both a firearm and illegal drugs. For several months, Islam had instilled fear among residents, allegedly coercing them for money at gunpoint. His capture came as a result of information provided by one of his victims.
