Air India tragedy: AAIB expands probe team; ex-operations chief RS Sandhu onboard as domain expert

The AAIB has enlisted veteran pilot Captain RS Sandhu, former Air India director of operations, as a domain expert in the investigation of the fatal Ahmedabad plane crash that killed 260 people. Sandhu, who personally took delivery of the crashed Boeing 787-8 in 2013, will lend his expertise to the five-member AAIB team.
