How to save progress in PEAK?

PEAK is an extremely popular mountain climbing experience, but it does not have a native save game feature to make it less annoying when players fall, randomly exit the game, or get stuck at certain progression points! While the game’s difficulty is purposely designed to add to the adventure experience, it can quickly lead to disappointment.
