5 Rameswaram fishermen held by Sri Lankan Navy for crossing IMBL; boat seized

Sri Lankan Navy arrested five Rameswaram fishermen. They allegedly crossed the International Maritime Boundary Line. The incident occurred early Tuesday. The fishermen’s boat was seized and taken to Talaimannar. They were handed over to Sri Lankan fisheries officials. Rameswaram Fishermen Association condemned the arrests. They urged the Union government to intervene.
