Bombay HC gets two new judges

The Bombay High Court welcomed Justices Gautam Ankhad and Mahendra Nerlikar as additional judges, sworn in by Chief Justice Alok Aradhe. Their appointments, approved by the central government on July 4, followed a Supreme Court Collegium recommendation from September 2024. Chief Justice Aradhe expressed surprise at the swift notification, attributing it to Chief Justice of India Gavai’s intervention.
