IIT (BHU) wins Global Transport Innovation Award for “CommuteQ” project

IIT (BHU) Varanasi’s CommuteQ app, designed to promote eco-friendly urban transport, has won the Urban Transport Challenge 2025. The app uses digital tools and behavioral science to encourage walking, cycling, and public transport use. CommuteQ will receive funding to launch a pilot program in Bengaluru, with plans for expansion to other Indian cities and availability on app stores soon.
