Vece Paes, Olympic bronze medallist and sports medicine pioneer, passes away at 80
Vece Paes, Olympian and sports medicine specialist, passed away at 80 due to complications from Parkinson’s and age-related issues. A member of the 1972 Olympic bronze-winning hockey team, he later became a consultant for various sports organizations. Paes also served as president of the Indian Rugby Football Union and was deeply involved in anti-doping efforts.
