Officer caught taking Rs 1 lakh bribe in caste certificate case in Bhopal

In Bhopal, Jeevan Lal Brar, a senior officer from the Scheduled Caste Development Department, was arrested by Lokayukta police for allegedly accepting a ₹1 lakh bribe. Usha Dabhikar, the complainant, stated Brar demanded ₹5 lakh to halt an inquiry into her caste certificate. The arrest, part of an anti-corruption drive, occurred at Brar’s residence in Panchsheel Nagar.
