India has approved the acquisition of 97 Tejas Mark-1A fighter jets and six AEW&C aircraft to bolster its air capabilities, collectively valued at Rs 85,500 crore. This move aims to address the combined threat from China and Pakistan, enhancing surveillance and combat readiness.
