Salima Tete to lead Indian women’s hockey team at Asia Cup in Hangzhou

Salima Tete will lead the 20-member Indian women’s hockey team at the upcoming Asia Cup in Hangzhou, China. The winner of the tournament will secure a direct spot for the 2026 FIH Women’s Hockey World Cup. India is placed in Pool B alongside Japan, Thailand, and Singapore, and the team will begin its campaign against Thailand on September 5.
