Wanted criminal with Rs 1 Lakh bounty killed in STF encounter in Azamgarh

Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force neutralized Shankar Kanaujia in Azamgarh. Kanaujia had a reward of Rupees one lakh. He faced charges of loot and murder, including beheadings. The STF team acted on information about Kanaujia’s plans. An encounter ensued in Jahanaganj. Kanaujia died from bullet injuries. Police recovered weapons from the site.
