This popular diet can slash genetic risk for dementia, according to Harvard researchers
A recent study in Nature Medicine reveals that a Mediterranean-style diet significantly lowers dementia risk, particularly for individuals with a high genetic predisposition, such as those carrying two APOE4 alleles. Adhering to this diet, rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats, can reduce dementia risk by approximately 35% in genetically vulnerable individuals.
