S. Ve. Shekher is known for his role in ‘Meenakshi Sundaram’. He also acted with Kamal Haasan in ‘Varumayin Niram Sivappu’. K. Balachander gave him his film break. Shekher started with stage plays and photography. He founded the Natakhapriya drama troupe in 1973. Shekher has written over 32 books. He received the Kalaimamani Award.
