AASU claims Center’s new immigration order ‘conspiracy’ settle illegal Bangladeshis in Assam

Guwahati witnessed widespread protests led by the All Assam Students’ Union (Aasu) against illegal Bangladeshi immigrants. Demanding the implementation of the Assam Accord and border sealing, Aasu held hunger strikes and burned copies of the new Immigration Order, deeming it a scheme to settle foreigners until 2024.
