Citing report on custodial deaths, Supreme Court directs PIL on ‘lack of CCTV in police stations’

Taking suo motu cognizance of a media report highlighting custodial deaths in Rajasthan, the Supreme Court has decided to examine the implementation of its 2020 order mandating CCTV installation in police stations.
