Rs 1.29cr foreign-origin cigarettes seized in Peren

Assam Rifles and Nagaland Police, in a coordinated effort, confiscated foreign-origin cigarettes valued at Rs 1.29 crore in the Tening area of Peren district. The illegal consignment was seized from a truck, leading to the arrest of one individual. Authorities have initiated further investigation to prevent revenue loss and protect local markets from illegal trade.
