Visakhapatnam jailbreak: 2 remand prisoners escape after attacking head-warder with hammer; manhunt launched

In a shocking incident, two remand prisoners, B Ramu and Nakka Ravi Kumar, escaped from Chodavaram sub-jail in Anakapalli district after attacking the head-warder, Veeraju, with a hammer. Ramu, a property offender, assaulted Veeraju and stole the main gate keys. Ravi Kumar, arrested for embezzling pension funds, pretended to chase Ramu but also fled.
