Kokichi Akuzawa sets Guinness World Record at 102 as oldest person to climb Mount Fuji in Japan
Kokichi Akuzawa, a 102-year-old man, has again created history. He climbed Mount Fuji on August 5, 2025. He is from Japan. He became the oldest person to reach the summit. He had support from his family and friends. The climb took three days. Akuzawa previously held the record at 96. He trained for months before this climb.
