Shishir Sharma: Awards are a wonderful recognition of our efforts as artists

Shishir Sharma won Best Actor at the DC South Asian Film Festival for his role in Kuch Sapney Apne, portraying a father’s evolving acceptance of his gay son. The film, celebrated for its sensitive portrayal of social issues, also earned Sharma a Best Actor award at the New Bedford International Film Festival.
