CM disburses Rs1,263 crore to over 1.13 cr pension beneficiaries

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar disbursed over Rs 1,263 crore to 1.13 crore beneficiaries under six social security pension schemes via DBT. This disbursement covers August’s pension payments, following a recent increase in monthly pension from Rs 400 to Rs 1,100 which came into effect in June. The Old Age Pension Scheme has the highest number of beneficiaries.
