‘Rooting for representation’: Barbie launches first doll with Type 1 diabetes, glucose monitor

Mattel has introduced a Barbie doll with Type 1 diabetes, joining its inclusive Fashionistas line. Created in partnership with Breakthrough T1D, the doll features a medically accurate continuous glucose monitor and insulin pump. This initiative aims to normalize chronic conditions, empower children with Type 1 diabetes, and foster empathy among all kids.
