Workers at the Pallorbond tea estate in Cachar are protesting against the management’s decision to reduce their Durga Puja bonus to 8.33% without consulting them. Nearly 2,000 workers are also upset about irregular wages, pending rations, and unpaid provident fund deposits since 2023.
