The Income Tax Department in Jharkhand is seeking permission to cancel the licenses of several chartered accountants who allegedly helped individuals evade taxes through political donations to Aam Janmat Party. Investigations revealed that professionals from Jharkhand and Bihar donated to the party to gain tax exemptions, with the party returning the money after deducting a commission.
