New research indicates that hidden thyroid issues, particularly mild hypothyroidism and low T3 levels, significantly increase the risk of severe heart problems in heart failure patients. The study highlights that individuals with elevated TSH levels faced a threefold higher risk, while those with low T3 levels had a doubled risk of advanced heart complications or death.
