8 steps cut to 3: Local officers in Karnataka to issue fire safety NOCs

The Karnataka government has decentralized the fire safety NOC process, empowering regional fire officers to issue clearances for low-rise buildings up to 21 meters. This reform significantly reduces bureaucratic hurdles, streamlining the approval process from eight stages to just three. Approvals for buildings exceeding 21 meters will still be handled by the DGP & DG of fire and emergency services.
