Bihar govt makes Student Credit Card loans interest-free for all students, says CM Nitish Kumar

The Bihar government has announced that education loans under the Student Credit Card (SCC) scheme will now be interest-free for all students. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also revealed an extension in the repayment period, from five to seven years for loans up to Rs 2 lakh, and up to ten years for larger loans. The move aims to ease financial stress and promote higher education access across the state.
