Juvenile accused of rape found hanging in Daltonganj observation home

A minor, accused of rape and held at an observation home in Daltonganj, was found dead by hanging himself in the bathroom. Transferred from Garhwa district on August 8 due to the lack of a local observation home, the boy’s death prompted a magistrate-level inquiry ordered by Palamu’s deputy commissioner. The facility currently houses over 40 boys.
