Consider Jorhat for cremation, Sahitya Sabha urges Himanta

Asam Sahitya Sabha has requested CM Himanta Biswa Sarma to designate Jorhat as Zubeen Garg’s final resting place and develop a Samadhi Kshetra in his memory. PGSU proposed establishing the Samadhi Kshetra at Gauhati University, honoring Zubeen and Bhupen Hazarika. Himanta tasked ministers to consult organizations and Zubeen’s family to determine the most fitting location for the cremation and memorial.
